Russell gets 40 place grid penalty for extra Singapore power unit parts

George Russell will start Sunday's Singapore Grand Prix from the back of the grid after Mercedes fitted a fifth engine, a fifth turbocharger, a fifth exhaust and a fourth MGU-K, all beyond his season allocation. The stewards applied a 10 place penalty for each extra element under FIA document 20, for a total drop of 40 grid positions.
