DRR buys RLL charter, returns full-time 2027

On July 22, Dreyer and Reinbold Racing (DRR) announced the purchase of one NTT IndyCar Series charter from Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL), marking the first transfer of a charter since IndyCar's charter system was established in late 2024. The transaction is subject to IndyCar approval. DRR will return to full-time competition with a single-car entry in 2027, its first full season since 2012. The announcement came six weeks after DRR founder Dennis Reinbold died on June 13 at age 65.
