Ferrari fined 30k euros for Hamilton unsafe pit release Belgium

Following the Belgian Grand Prix on 19 July 2026, the FIA confirmed Ferrari were fined 30,000 euros for an unsafe pit release involving Lewis Hamilton, after Hamilton was released from his pit box while Charles Leclerc's car was already in the adjacent box. Of the 30,000 euro fine, 10,000 euros is suspended for 12 months, meaning Ferrari would forfeit it only if found guilty of a similar infringement within that period. The FIA opted for a financial penalty against the constructor rather than a sporting time penalty against Hamilton as a driver. Hamilton had already received a separate five-second time penalty during the race itself for causing a collision with George Russell.
