Antonelli penalised for yellow flag breach in Q3

F1 championship leader Kimi Antonelli was handed a three-place grid penalty and one penalty point following a post-qualifying investigation at the 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix on 25 July 2026. Stewards found he had made an 'insufficient and unsustained' attempt to reduce speed under yellow flags caused by Max Verstappen's spin at the final corner late in Q3. A second investigation, for driving unnecessarily slowly during qualifying, resulted in a separate warning. Antonelli dropped from fourth to seventh on the starting grid and finished the race further back, compounding a difficult weekend for the championship leader.
